As stated in our previous blog posts, they are compounds known as “cannabinoids” found in all living things. However, more specifically :
CBN (aka Cannabinol) is one of the few psychoactive (works on the mind) compounds found in trace amounts in the plant. CBN can also be obtained by drying or heating its more popular and more widely known mother cannabinoid, THC. Effects can range from slight euphoria to sleepiness/drowsiness. Reported benefits include; anti-inflammatory properties, anti-bacterial, neuroprotection, appetite stimulant, eye pressure relief in Glaucoma.
Delta 8 (aka Delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinol) is another cannabinoid found in the hemp/cannabis plant and is a derivative of its mother cannabinoid THC. It can have mildly euphoric effects, and as with its cousin, CBN, can cause sleepiness/drowsiness. Reported benefits include; clear head, calm, focus, happy, motivated, relaxation, anti-nausea, mental acuity.
Delta 8 has approximately ½ the euphoric effects as compared to its more popular big sister, Delta 9.
